I am a chartered counselling psychologist with 15 years experience in substance misuse and adult mental health. I work mainly for an NHS Trust in the West Midlands where I am the lead psychologist in a substance misuse multi-disciplinary team.
I am willing to offer advice via email regarding alcohol dependence and depression, and I occasionally publish answers to frequent questions and other useful information for the families of substance misusers.
I have a private practice where I see individuals with problematic substance use and family members whose lives have been affected by it. I offer supervision to other applied psychologists working in the field of addictive behaviour and provide consultancy and training in the clinical area of alcohol and the family.
I have published articles in the DDN (Drink Drug News) and am currently part of a research group (MHRDU) that specialises in researching alcohol, drugs and the family at the University of Bath.
